Camp i.imagine

Digital and film photography for teens of all experience levels

At Camp i.imagine, teens grades 6-9 will have a blast while learning how to create amazing photographs!

Our fun projects teach exposure, light, artistic composition and much more.  Beyond the camera, students learn about themselves, begin to develop their unique artistic vision and discover how to tell important stories that sometimes have no words.

Camp i.imagine instructors work with students both in group settings and one-on-one to give every camper an individualized experience to take their photos to the next level!

Don't have a DSLR digital camera?  We've got you covered!  Each student will be issued a digital DSLR camera kit to keep and take home during the week that they attend camp.

will be doing:

Day 1

Campers are on the move, as they learn the basics of exposure and how shutter speed changes the way we capture motion in photographs.

Day 2

Depth of field

Campers are immersed in nature on the grounds of the Ignite Institute, learning how to use aperture to turn nature photos into portraits.

Day 3

Campers go back to the 1800's, discovering how UV light was used with a little chemistry to process images on paper and t-shirts!

Day 4

Vintage cameras, film and darkroom

Campers will learn the magic of  film photography, including processing  prints in the darkroom like a pro.
