What we do
i.imagine is a nonprofit organization, providing photography-based education for students in grades 6-12. We offer afterschool programs, summer camps, and special, community-driven projects.
Our students learn to tell their own stories through photography. We teach both the fundamentals and the artistry of the medium, weaving in science, technology, engineering, art and math. Through our accepting and welcoming teaching style, kids gain a deeper understanding of how to connect emotionally to themselves and others. We discuss the passion behind famous photographers' work and relate it to social issues facing teens today.
Each photograph taken by i.imagine students defines a moment in time that matters. They gain confidence by realizing that their images are unique because they, as human beings, are unique.
